AOP PALETTE - PROVENCE
Chateau de Meyreuil is located in Meyreuil close to Aix en Provence, at the foot of the Sainte Victoire, painted by Cezanne, on an exceptional soil made of limestone scree and clay, in AOP Palette.
The Château de Meyreuil counts 1,5ha in AOP Palette out to 8 ha in total, Red and White, within the 46 ha in total of the appellation which includes only a handful of estates.
Karine and Jean Philippe took over the winery recently and they are now magnifying the vineyards. They also produce great Rosé de Provence on plots, which are progressively worked in biodynamics. They are located in semi-hillside, facing south, in the middle of the pines, on clayey-limestone soil, with a slight presence of pebbles

TASTING NOTES
APPEARANCE : black cherry color, with purplish reflections.
NOSE: delicate, expressing on floral notes, violet, a spicy tone due to the Syrah Assembly, Mourvedre vectors of these spicy notes.
PALATE : frank, finely balanced, with aromas of red fruits, spices, a touch of vanilla, with tannins still present, all on a long finish.
In short a well structured wine, good to drink on the youth but I advise to forget a few years to appreciate it even more.
